松本サリン事件の被害者で、事件発生時には警察とメディアから犯人であるかのように報道された河野義行さんとこのあいだ会ったとき、「インタビューで、麻原や幹部信者たちに死刑を執行してほしくないと語っても、メディアはこの箇所をカットしてしまう」と苦笑していた。理由は想像がつく。犯人を憎まない被害者や遺族という構図がわかりづらいからだ。読者や視聴者が困惑するからだ。
