ユーザーが次々と逮捕されるのに、なぜ２ちゃんねる本体が無事なのか。

大きな理由として、２ちゃんねるが極めて警察に協力的だというのがあります。運営側も協力的だし、何しろユーザーの方に通報文化が染みこんでます。警察に通報するのが楽しい。そういう風土を作り出した。これが２ちゃんねるの寿命を長くしました。
警察憎悪の反体制みたいな左翼的風土が１０年前のネットだったのですが、２ちゃんねるの出現で右寄りに塗り替わりました。（もちろん社会的に左側勢力が退潮したことも大きな要因です）。ひろゆき氏（西村博之）も２０００年頃は左寄りのイベントに出たりしてましたが、深くコミットはしておらず、むしろ懐疑的なコメントを残していました。仮に反体制色が強ければ、かなり短期間で潰れていたかもしれません。
このあたりの警察への姿勢というのが、寿命の長さを説明するにおいてかなり大きなウェイトを占めるでしょう。

そして、ユーザーが自主的に警察に楽しく通報することが重要です。仮に２ちゃんねる運営が「悪事を見掛けたら警察に通報しろ。これは義務だ」とユーザー側に課していたら、こうはうまくいかなかったでしょう。ユーザーそれぞれが「面白いから」という動機で動けることが重要です。警察に通報して誰かが捕まると本当に楽しいという、そんな感情が２ちゃんねるで作りあげられたのです。
